"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

is it fine to ask a girl for a phone number?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

You posted this in the HS forums and got an answer there already. No need to post it again here.

I am giving you full authorization to get any woman's phone #, regaurdless of her relationship status.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

your damn skippy its alright to ask a girl for her phone number if she has a bf, try this line I read out of the newsletter,
You:So is there a number I can reach you at?
Her:I have a boyfriend
You:Thats ok, Im not the jeleaous type.

Ive done it and it works like a charm, a bf isnt a roadblock, more along the lines of a obstical. And if you think its wrong to steal a girl away from sum guy, your dead wrong. First of all she dosnt belong to him, and second she wouldnt leave him for you is she wasnt already thinking bout leaving him.

CCAC: That's right on the money. I would also try (i forget the exact line) "So that's the ONLY reason, (then imply or say that she likes you)"

I've taken the permission away with provisional 332-B. I can do this also since I am a man. So no I won't let you get her #. Sorry Yakovinho, i'm just an a-hole like that!

Half the time girls are looking for another guy if they have a boyfriend.

"Boyfriend" today means - "I'm a hor and having sex with a guy" - There are no rules with hors - just pimp em!!!!

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Of course it's fine. If it isn't fine she'll let you know by not giving it to you.

that's a good point. never heard it that way before. BUT the woman could also be not mature enough to commit. so if u steal her, than it's only a matter of time before some other dude gives u a taste of ur own medicine. who wants to deal with that?

Couple of things I'd like to mention:

1. "Boyfriend" is one thing. "Married" is another. Always keep that in mind. Granted, you shouldn't let a boyfriend stop you. However, if a girl is MARRIED, then you should back off ESPECIALLY if she has kids with the guy. I know the threadstarter was talking about boyfriend, but just wanted to clear that up.

2. If a girl will cheat on her current man with you, what makes you think she won't turn around and do the same thing to you when you become her man? Ponder that when you are chasing after another guy's girl.

I think it is disrespectful. I try to treat people like I want to be treated. Besides, if a girl who has a boyfriend gives you her number, she's not trustworthy anyway.

I just don't get the "she's not married" attitude that a lot of guys have on this forum. The girl might not have a ring on her finger yet, but she's still in a relationship. I guess the word "relationship" doesn't mean much to people these days. Just because she hasn't married the guy yet doesn't mean she doesn't intend on marrying him. Maybe she's in college and wants to wait until she graduates or something. Maybe the guy hasn't asked her to marry him. Maybe they haven't known each other long enough. There are plenty of reasons why people wait.
