Most profiles on POF are ghost profiles. I'm having more success with Okcupid's nerdy girls are waaaaaay more responsive to your typical advances. Could be my city though. What do you guys think?
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Normal women have a multi-dimensional social web that they have built over the years, and normally find a man through that web and settle down. I'm talking about women who are relatively well-adjusted.
The crazies don't have this social web and therefore must advertise their wares on these websites. I thought I was going to do great with online dating until I realized how messed up these women are.

Agreed. If a woman is online that means she is desperate or she has such high standards that she's nothing more than a pump and dump. Bottom of the barrel wh0res. It's much better meeting a woman IRL because the "weirdness" of meeting over the internet won't be there. If you meet a girl online and later text her, 90% of the time she'll disappear. If you meet her offline she's less likely to flake.Solomon said:+1 Rep
I have theory that women who use online dating are bottom of the barrel. Sure you have your single mother, fatties, ugg chick. But what about the hottie? if she just recently moved to the city then I would give her a pass. But most beautiful girls on Pof are either sloots who burned up their social circle cause they already banged all the desirable guys or two they're just on there for attention and validation
Also most women online are truly entitled and hideous a lot of women online I wouldn't bother with IRL it really makes you lower your standards unless you're a super duper good looking guys meeting women whom you're attracted to is tough
Women who want to pay a little more just to get better quality service generally are going to be better lookingAtom Smasher said:On another note, I do notice that at least for me, the match dot com girls are by far more physically attractive than on any other site.
Atom Smasher said:It's not just POF either. Even the "higher-end" paid sites yield the same results. Every single one of them is not relationship-worthy. I'm sure there might exist a needle in the haystack here & there, but I would say the number is statistically insignificant.
On another note, I do notice that at least for me, the match dot com girls are by far more physically attractive than on any other site. Every one that ends up in my mailbox is beautiful for some reason.
