I was just thinking about this:

Take 'selfies' - an online dating no-no for average people because they make you look friendless and a bit sad UNLESS you are hot. If you are hot it doesn't really matter. In fact people might prefer you to be friendless if you're hot. Less competition.

And so with other things. Approaches online or in real life (unless you're a total tool) really don't matter if you are hot. You can get away with just a Hi or Hey whereas the average person might need that '****y/funny' approach which coming from a hot guy might seem a little try hard.

See what I'm saying? When you are hot less is definitely more. Which is good news. For me.

what you will find is that most of these "hot" guys are naturally ****y and funny it is in their personality already and that when they see an AFC try to do it they know that the AFC is going against their natural personality hence "being a try hard".
