I think a lot of single, childless men under 40 who are reasonably put together already fall into that “ahead of the pack” category. The real issue, in my opinion, isn’t necessarily about their looks or presentation it is mainly how they handle interest from women.

A lot of guys, when they get IOIs or realize a woman is into them, become overly relationship-focused too quickly. It’s like they want to lock her down and end up restricting her sense of freedom. Speaking from my own experience, this was something I struggled with before I understood the value of dating multiple women at the same time and not fixating on just one too soon.

Of course, there are also men who are super aloof and still face challenges with women, so it is not just one-size-fits-all. In some ways, the issue does come back to how men approach these dynamics.

You're not wrong but it's more complex there a lot of socially stunted young men, and also out-of-shape young men. I have seen guy's in their 20s that have beer bellies like men in their 50's. I know on this forum we like to talk a lot about how women are becoming increasingly fat now a days but a lot of men are not in the best of shape either

Like I said it's a multi-faceted complex issue

Well, I suppose it probably depends on how you define a 4 or 5. This is how I define a 5: A 5 is a woman you might look and think "Well, maybe if I was horny enough... nah." A 6 is doable, might be described as cute.

As for the lawyer, this is the first time I've heard any mention of body fat percentage. A low level alpha or a high level beta are going to have their choices. Might not be the leader of the pack, but the #2 guy, or considered indispensable to the group. I don't think being an alpha is necessarily about looks either.
