I used to read those books in high school freshman year. It wasn't until I got a little older that I realized how gay they were. They toned it down for the movie.

oh i did not say i did not like the show, it's it grew on me.. i was about 10 seconds from changing the channel then i saw that hot peice of ass in the pick up truck, and kept my attention untijl i saw the faggot vampires.. looking forward to watching it again.

I thought show was gonna be stupid but i got addicted to it after first 4-5 episodes. I only watched first episode of the new season though because it started getting little ridiculous. Even toward end of second season the story started getting ridiculous.

Spartacus indeed is badass!!!! OP True Blood grows on you. Keep watching and you will see. The gay vampire stuff sucks for the most part, but the main gay character, Lafayette, is funny as hell when they are not showing homo scenes.
