"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

The first picture of me in this thread has changed (I think I actually tried to delete it I don't know how the new photo got there) in any case as it looks silly considering I'm going on about how big and muscly I am and as I can neither edit the original post (because its 2,882 hours since I posted it or something) and as I can no longer edit the hotornot source (because I can no longer remember the handle or email address for that pic) I will have to post a new picture of me showing of my muscles (you have to use your imagination a bit though and imagine me with a lower body fat percentage - a lot easier than me dieting to loose it).

By the way penkitten the link to your photo doesn't work so we still don't know what you look like.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

This kind of brings up a funny topic, but true.

Who takes your pics? Now that I broke up with my gf, I'd feel kind of funny asking my buddy to take a picture of me shirtless.

So I guess I don't have any of me shirtless right now (or recent ones!)

true player for real, almost a nine on hotornot :) :

http://www.hotornot.com/r/?eid=NQNMRYB&key=BVN

I'm 6'2", 156lbs. I work my upper body twice a week, have been for about a month and half now, but i've only gained a total of 2lbs. I'm taking creatine and whey, but alas, doesn't seem to be working. My weight will fluctuate to 160 after creatine, but two days later i'm back in the 155ish zone. I haven't been counting calories or protein, but i think that's what it's going to come down to. I am eating healthier, but doesn't seem like i'm eating more. Thoughts? I think i'll post this same thing as a normal thread in H&F...

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Ne one mind if I copy this thread in General Discussion?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
