"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Salary: About double what I make. Not hat I give a **** about that. Because money doesn't buy happiness. At least, it can't buy what I want, for the most part (although, it seems like you can pay anybody for anything these days).
Hobbies: sounds good. Reading what in particular? Novelas? Periodicals? What's written in bathroom stalls? Also have you ever reached Brahma? (lolz.)

At least your straightforward.

Yeah. 50 Shades of Grey, a badly written trashy love novel that misconstrues **** and promotes abusive relationships. You got that right.

I'm just finishing some Bradbury short stories at the moment.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I'm sorry, but I'm busy cringing at every time you used "your" instead of "you're".

In any case, just ask her what it's about, why she likes or dislikes it, etc.

Fo sho.

Also, I'm confused, you opened your message stating your salary and hobbies?

But anyway, your conversation is kind of boring, stop talking about books for fvcks sake.

'Yeah Bradbury is pretty cool. So are you a [insert city here] girl? What kind of trouble do you get into around here?'

Blah blah, exchange a couple messages, then 'well this site is kinda lame, let's exchange numbers so we can text instead, I'm at [insert number here].'

Either she'll send you her number, text you, or you'll find out she's not into you.

I read at a third grade level so I haven't tried Bradbury yet. Who knew Fahrenheit went that high?
