I have no problem with people talking about the things I disclose. What I have a problem with is unsolicited advice. I've observed that people who partake in it perceive themselves as superior to others and get a buzz off thinking they're experts on other peoples' lives (which they're not).

You don't know me or what my life is like, so how do you know me taking my lessons in Vancouver while still having my $10k debt wouldn't drastically improve my quality of life much more than putting the $3k towards my debt and not taking the lessons?

And what makes you say I can't come up with the money because I haven't earned the right to it? I already know I have to offer $3k of value or more to some one person in exchange for it. And that's the principle I've been basing my ideas from my brainstorming on.

90% of people are in debt much deeper than I am. But would you tell someone they shouldn't take a vacation until they pay off their mortgage? You'd have a tough time convincing anyone, just like you're not convincing me.

I've accrued nothing so far. Like I said, I'm looking to make just one sale here, not "save up". I have two ideas at work right now.
Sustained credit card debt is a strangler. I know because I’ve been there. I put extraneous pursuits on hold when I was younger and zeroed out my cc debt.

The feeling of freedom and accomplishment was profound. It freed me up to pursue my other interests.

The only problem I had with you was that you were setting an extremely unrealistic deadline. It would be different if you already had an idea of how you were going to accomplish it, but by putting it out here and waiting for ideas you’re easily killing one week of action at the very least.

You tend to discredit advice to set goals that are realistic and attainable. Two weeks is an absurdly short blip of time.

My suggestion to you is and has always been to formulate a workable strategy to reduce debt while simultaneously accruing money for your activities in Vancouver. Cc debt is a constant bleed.

What’s so terrible about a two month plan to accrue the money for your trip? Your subconscious would consider that doable and would not throw resistance.

Life has taught me that reasonably doable goals unleash creativity, while overly harsh self-imposed deadlines usually serve to discourage.

I think that's a cop-out and an excuse. If we were living in a communistic system, perhaps that would be true. But we're not. We still live under the capitalistic system. And our only limitations are the ones we establish in our own minds. If we've failed to accumulate wealth, it's our own damn faults.
We're only as capitalistic as our socialistic western governments allowed. Right now, the US is far on the female side with how money is orientated and distributed. That's as socialistic/ communist as it gets. We've been losing capitalism ground for ages, especially after the government got bigger and women got more rights. And since you live in Canada, you definitely aren't in a capitalistic country.

Sustained credit card debt is a strangler. I know because I’ve been there. I put extraneous pursuits on hold when I was younger and zeroed out my cc debt.
When I first got a CC, I did a test run through two years, just to see how much credit I could accumulate and how long it would take to get rid of it with a set amount of credit payment per month. I concluded that I can pay off credit with a few months of normal spending, but it's still an annoying debt to have due to interest. Having debt always makes you come to realize how silly you feel paying for so many bills and people, and wondering why you don't have anyone paying bills to you. Really puts entrepreneurship into perspective.

To you, my deadline may be unrealistic and undoable; you couldn't see yourself accomplishing it, so you project your own self-imposed limitations onto me. But your lack of belief in your own abilities has no relevance on what I can achieve. Remember, I've done it before, years ago. So why not again?

And who said I've been sitting around, killing a week waiting for ideas? No, no, no. I've come up with two plans already, which I've put into motion. One failed today, but the other is still open. Plus, I came up with a new idea last night I'm going to act on.

Really, this is an experiment to me in what a deadline can accomplish.

I beg to differ. The government doesn't own all commerce and pay everyone equally. So it's not socialism, though it harbors some aspects of it. But I can start a business and generate wealth for myself if I want. I still have that liberty in Canada. People who complain about how evil and unfair the government seem to use it to excuse their own failures in life and blame someone or something else for them. Not me.

I don't consider objecting to small-minded thinking complaining. If anything, I'm refuting the complaints. If some strangers on the internet told you you couldn't achieve a small feat, would you just accept their opinions as gospel and give up?
I don't tend ask for other people opnion, and when I do I just keep it in mind not outright refuse unless is dangerous. also you ARE asking about something you can't achieve, refuse everything you don't want to heard. ignoring facts will not solve your problem

So are you taking responsibility for your current financial situation?

Again, your estimate of your own limitations have no bearing on my abilities.

I most certainly am.

Yeah, your point was that the government is stacked against men thriving, and is in women's favor.

I refuted that, because it's not the government's job to make us men prosperous in the first place. It's our responsibility to do that for ourselves.

You didn't refute a thing because you refuse to read the other part of my post where I show that the government still attacks men's resources, restricting their ability to build wealth in general. Alimony alone has killed more men's productivity than any death in WW2.

Wow, I'm amazed at how much bitterness and resentment some of you guys are expressing at me. Are you seriously telling me you envy a guy who has a goal of $3k in 2 weeks? You'd think I was asking for a million in a month. Imagine if that's the goal I posted here.

I also figured I would have gotten some support and encourage to achieve my dreams. But all I've got is hate.

Actually, I did. When you said I didn't hear what you were saying, I went back and re-read all your posts. And you never mentioned anything about the government restricting men's resources through things like alimony. But that's a fair point. And perhaps the best defense against this is to fully and meticulously vet every woman's character before we choose to sleep with her, lest she get pregnant and have the baby.

You're not too bright, are you? I can barely understand what you're trying to say.

Here's an update...

I've decided to change my course of action. Instead of coming up with the money to go elsewhere for lessons, I've decided to convince my local teacher to take me on as a student. For reasons I won't get into, she's blacklisted me and refuses to teach me. But now, I plan to change her mind, making the $3k unnecessary.

So a new question...

How do you change a negative perception of you implanted in the mind of someone you want to be your ally by an enemy who holds a grudge against you and wants to sabotage your efforts by already slandering you? Hmmmmm.

I can’t help it. I’m a natural.

Why do you always make things hard for yourself?
How many voice teachers are there in your area?
I don't make things hard for myself.

There is just one teacher in my area, and like I mentioned, she's blacklisted me. But with the right salesmanship, I believe I can change her mind. I know, no easy feat; changing a woman's mind. :)
