Master Don Juan
I am so glad you said this. I think my next post will tackle this head on.joekerr31 said:part of me wonders how much we as men really like women and how much of it is we like to f*ck women.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

joekerr31 said:oh oh, looks like her tactics are starting to work. she just called the men p*ssies. but its ok mate, she knows she's safe doing that because she's not face to face with them. if she had tried that tactic in real life, good chance one of the males would have knocked her two front teeth out.
ive never hit a woman in my life. and never will.iqqi said:^^funny almost
but i bet you would hit a woman. I bet you think there are good reasons to.
Aren't you sensitive.joekerr31 said:ive never hit a woman in my life. and never will.
to be honest, if we were face to face and you called me a p*ssy, it would be the last thing you ever call me, becuase i'd have nothing to do with you after that.

Well I really think alot of you could have used an older brother calling your a$$es out like I do sometimes, maybe you wouldn't have grown up to be such... mmm... AFC's. There, is that better, you like your insults sugar coated, darling? Iq can give it to you sweet.![]()
How convenient. We all believe you.iqqi said:Hmmm... I would give you an example, however that was not my point actually.
Tell that to my gf sitting next to me who is more intelligent, mature and beautiful than you (unless you're an 11 and just pretending to be dense).iqqi said:Well you are little pvssys! It is sad!
And to further relate, I don't know many "quality" women who would really be serious about you. Which could explain your hopelessness regarding women!
I am not having a bad day. I ASSUMED that you PREJUDGED me because you said yourself:Interceptor said:iqqi, you are plain, flat out wrong that I am prejudiced about yuo and women. That's a baseless asumption. But that's ok, I know you're angry. Like Penny said everyone has "bad days".
You're probasbly feeling defensive too, understood.
I did not say anything about your comment being condescending. I feel that you guys cannot read!Interceptor said:Second, my comment on your comment is not condescending in any way, it simply shows my disappointment that you truly feel that way.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
I'm surprised you're actually trying to have a serious discussion with this chick, at some point you have to realize it's pointless. I think this is also an example of how we tend to make concessions for them because they're women.Interceptor said:iqqi, you are plain, flat out wrong that I am prejudiced about yuo and women. This was good, but the part that made me laugh the most was that she thought you were simply trying to be funny and rather than challenge it she deviates from it entirely and says:joekerr31 said:[joekerr dawns his steve irwin voice and turns on his camcorder...]
There are actually good reasons to, sometimes (see above).iqqi said:but i bet you would hit a woman. I bet you think there are good reasons to.
interceptor, i am sorry that you got such an angry feel from this thread. i was hoping that history could be talked about maturely, but as soon as i posted the thread, i felt like i shouldn't have.Interceptor said:But let's try to keep a positive, growth oriented perspective on this.
IDK I just get this angry feleing from this thread, adn IMHO it really shoudln't be that way.
And yet men DO love that sh*t. So stop being taken aback.I must say I was a bit taken a back with your "Men love that sh*t" comment.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
never apologize.Interceptor said:Iqqi, I'm not getting anywhere with this, It seems like you are defensive.
I apologize. I never even intended to be condescendng, rude, or offensive. I was disappinted. OK?
You want to call it even? Forget about it?
Or do you want to clear things up?
Let me know. Thanks.
Take care, and have a nice day.
Perhaps the great iqqi could enlight us all on what STOOOPID isnt.iqqi said:most of the points on this thread from you guys are STOOOPID.
Phyzzle said:Iqqi, why can't you be nice and submissive like Penkitten?
But really guys, Iqqi is not saying that men SHOULD be chivalrous, or help her out, or give her a cigarette when she asks. She is simply saying that they DO. Big difference.
For example:
And yet men DO love that sh*t.
So stop being taken aback.
She's just making fun of you guys for overreacting.
WHAT??!! You think this is a good thing?? Hello??
And I can see her point of view. Comparing the acceptance of a favor from an attracted guy to having a twisted sense of entitlement is an overreaction.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
