I think you played it right. If a girl's actions cause me to lose interest in her, then why bother even replying and continuing a conversation I don't even care about having? I soooooooo agree with this. As Roissy says, sarcasm is unfeminine. A woman who busts on me is instant limp-d!ck for me. My male friends and I bust on one another, women who do it creep me out.

I don't think he was being sensitive, just pointing out the girl's lack of class (which is very common among Australian women who are not very feminine at all). I generally wouldn't make a joke like that with someone who I barely knew.
