Stop using Tinder and use POF and OKC. OLD is based on pictures, so make sure they help you instead of hurt you.

Don't pay much attention to women with empty profiles and focus on ones with profiles you like. Sure, you'll get fewer numbers, but the numbers you do get will be women you'll have a high probability of having fun with.
Don't try and force conversation by asking a bunch of questions, it will flow naturally when she has interest. If you get a lame response don't reply. Maybe test her interest again after a week or two, but if nothing then cross her off the list. Less is more in online dating, the more time you spend the more you're just scraping the bottom of the barrel for women with low interest or who you aren't that attracted to.
You need to come up with some kind of funny opener that will get them to respond. Compliment them on one of there hot pics. Ask her to meet you for drinks.

I have actually had the most success with coffee meets bagel, I think largely due to the small amount of matches they get per day. I have had 5 different women literally just give me their number saying "I don't check this app often, text me". Also, you can't send messages till your matched like tinder.
POF and OKC women can browse matches for hours and get flooded with messages. I hit those every couple days, but I really need better pics...
