Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I'm going to a halloween party on friday and am looking for costumes that will help me stand out from everyone else. Anyone have an ideas? I was thinking about going as a tampon but I couldn't figure out how to make the costume.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I ordered a NINJA outfit and tabi boots off a martial arts website. I'm going to sneak my way into all the ladies pants or flip out and kill everybody, one or the other.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

I don't think its as important to be something really unique, as it is to make sure your costume looks really good!!! Make sure it brings out your best qualities and get all the details down. That's my experience with Halloween costumes, girls notice the guys who look good just like any other day, its just that on this night you can role play too...:D

I'm either going to be a Wallaby or Daisy Duke for halloween. Both of them are probably going to be 'peacocky'.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Wear a trash bag and then put a box over your head that says "Massengill" on it. When people ask what you are, tell them you're a douchebag. Enjoy. :D

People tell me I look just like Alex in "Clockwork Orange," but I may not have enough time to put it together this year. Been so hella busy it's beyond belief....

*********

That is one amazing costume, Bible Belt!

A friend of mine had the best I've heard of. She teamed up with a guy who dressed as a waiter, and she was a severed head he carried around on a plate. A bit strenuous, but amazing.

Dress shirt, tie, spiky hair and glasses, with a gym bag with toy guns: Michael Douglas in "Falling Down".

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
