Hey guys, I recently joined a big gym that has TONS of women. But i usually don't run in to them because I go there for just the free weights.

What have been your strategies to asking women out at the gym? Do you just walk up to them while they are working out at the work out machines? Do you go to the classes and meet them there, since there are a variety of classes like zumba/biking/etc?

I was hoping those who have successfully dated girls from their gym could give me feedback on this.

thanks in advance!

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I agree with Espi, I train at home and at a Snap which is over the road, what I have found is that the attractive women who are really into their workouts seem to go to other gyms. The whole gym scene seems to be getting more and more anti socialable with the advent of ipods. The bigger gyms which have a lot of social activities outside the gym are probably the way to go.

I have learned that it's best for me to keep a polite distance from women in gyms.
I see what you mean. at work I definitely keep it professional with female coworkers, but I wasn't hoping that strategy wouldn't apply to the gym. At the very least I wanted the gym to increase my social circle.

The gym i go to has a lot of classes that you can take, but I haven't looked in to them. I was thinking about checking them out specifically to see if they are a place to meet people.
