I sent a few messages on facebook back an forth with a girl that I used to have a class with (she was in a serious relationship the time)... I asked her if she wanted to go watch a basketball game with me next semester. She said definitely so I sent another msg and got her number. I go to a university and I'm going home to a different city until january. Should I call over christmas break just to say hello? I was thinking of maybe calling her in about a week or 10 days. If I don't call, I"m definitely going to send her a message on facebook to see how she is doing. Any suggestions?

Call whenever you want, but honestly I wouldn't get my hopes up. I have got a girl's # before at a basketball game actually, and when i called her the next day, she didn't pick up. Called her once more the next night and left a message. Never ever heard from that girl. Just giving you the heads up. She could change her mind. Btw, the girl I got the number from, later on I found out she had a bf!

In a couple of weeks when i see they have a big win I'm going to call her and say I thought of her when I saw that they won. I"m going to small talk it up, tell her I hope she has a good christmas, etc. Then I'm going to say.. "I'll give you a call in a couple of weeks when we get back to campus and we'll have to get together for a basketball game or something"...
