I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Where's are some good spots to take a woman on a second date, other than bar?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

You don't have to plan much, just do something active or that is different. I have taken second dates to roller derby, galleries with weird ass exhibitions (weirder the better), botanical gardens, farmer's markets. My old standby is a walkabout with people-watching and window shopping and then a drink and shared appetizer at a trendy, expensive restaurant. They will let you sit at the bar, which is where you want to be anyway, without reservations, and if you are good with bartenders, you will be "sampling" wine for free. Get to know bartenders at trendy restaurants, they will get you laid guaranteed, well worth the tips you should pay them. Spend 20% on the women you are dating, 80% on tips for bartenders and restaurant staff. There's nothing better than having the staff at the hot restaurant know you by name... even if you hardly ever eat a full meal there.
