Correct me if I'm wrong, but in most Asian cultures, isn't being a single woman at 30 a bad thing. You know like being an old maid? This probably makes sense, especially when coupled with these statements...

I read that the responses from other women are both sympathetic and positive.
I counter with female robot. Still not ready for prime time yet, but you get the idea. In a couple of years..the woman in op's article will be obsolete.
