That's happened to me many times. I got a little to into it and they get *****y because they're real and won't sugar coat not being into you.
About 80% of the time that was going on for me was when I was looking ugly or was not having a good day personality wise.
Otherwise they're just *****es, in which case you should just enjoy them being mean to other people.

The girl has to know who you are, the key is social networking. Make friends and network your way to her. Hang out with a girl who has a lot of friends in a group setting. That way they know that you're a tight guy because their friend thinks you're a cool guy.
As long as one person thinks you're the best, everyone thinks you're the best.
If alcohol is involved and you're at a party, be terse, say a little thing that gets her to smile. Make sure her eyes say they want you and don't expect anything big to happen. Keep doing what you do saying "hi" to her or smiling at her while you pass her, eventually she'll be buttered up and ready to talk to you.
This is what works for me though. It might be better for you to do it another way. Just keep dealing with crazy *****es until you've figured out how they react to you individually.
