I have been talking to a girl for a couple of weeks now. It's very long distance, there's an entire ocean between us but I still like her. I have noticed that she never initiate any talks with me. She will respond fairly quickly when I contact her but she will never be the first one to even inquire how my day went. Sometimes I don't talk to her for days because I am really busy. I just started to think that the lack of her starting conversations might just be the lack of interest.
Am I reading too much into this?

I don't think the green card is the reason really, she has her own money, a really good job and could travel anywhere she wants to.

Online relationships are fake as hell.
You're too invested in something imponderable.
Take everything with grain of salt when you meet people online.
For all you know it could be a guy on the other end or a married chick with 5 kids.
All I'm saying is keep your emotions in check.

It’s a waste of time talking to her if she’s that far away unless you have plans to meetup at some point? If not then what are you trying to accomplish here?

I plan on meeting up in the futur for sure. She is from my home country. I currently live in Canada and will some time go visit.

She is not fake, she was introduced to me by a family member who is friends with her. I do plan on meeting her.
