Ok, so I need some opinions. Is it weird/ against the rules for a girl to ask a guy out? I've known this guy for a year or so and he's really shy. He seems to disappear when I'm around (We're neighbors/I watch his sisters sometimes). I'm pretty sure he likes me too. I'm outgoing, but I've never made the first move before. I've hinted, but sometimes I think boys are a little dense (no offense). As former AFC's, do you think it's okay to ask him to out/go do something? Idk, I feel embarrassed.. because I don't want to be rejected either. Ugh, thanks in advance!

Haha it's totally OK! Most of us here wish things like this happened more often! I wish girls had asked me out in my shy teenager years :( Actually they tried but I was quite stupid ;)

Question is of course how you find him attractive if you say he's "AFC". But hey maybe you'll teach him a thing or two...

It's not weird, I tend to get it a lot since I'm generally in a LTR recently so I just flirt a little and enjoy a girl's company when I meet her but don't have any real incling to take it further because I'm happy with my girlfriend. It usually ends up with her getting my number and asking me to meet up again, I don't find it weird at all - in fact I feel quite flattered by it and I'm sure most guys would love it.

He most likely won't say no unless you're really unattractive.

I miss the days when girls used to ask me out...life was so easy.
