Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Man, I really do need to get my mind off sex and stop masturbating, before I can really improve. I'm constantly horny and when I try to get other things done, I just start to think about sex, load up a site and start masturbating. It's like, I'll be writing music or something and I'll get bored and then I remember that girl with the tight ass from school today and there I go. My problem is, is that I think about sex WAAAAY to much and it's getting in the way of my life. Sure, thinking about sex a little bit here and there is good, but when you think about it all the time like me and just can't get it out of your head, it becomes dangerous. Masturbating feels good and all, but honestly, it takes up a lot of time and energy, makes me tired and bored and gives me an uncomfortable feeling in my crotch afterwords.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I think if anything I'm already addicted. I've been masturbating almost everyday since I taught myself how to do it, when I was 13. Hell, even at band camp, I masturbated when my roommates were asleep.

Haha, seriously? Well, in that case, maybe it's not so weird after all. Winter Formal is coming up and I'm looking for someone to take me and even have a few girls in mind, but a lot times when I'm talking to girls, I run out of things to say, if I can't initiate good small talk to a girl, how am I going to ask her out?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
