About 20 years ago I used to drive a parkway to work that had very narrow and winding curves. It was made for Model A Fords, not for today's traffic.
They were in the process of widening and straightening the road, and I would be in slow traffic every day. But much to my delight, I would see a black rabbit on the grass every morning in approximately the same place... He became my little friend and I would look forward to seeing him every day.
Once day I was driving by very slowly and I looked for my little friend. I saw him, and as I drove by I discovered that my little friend was a piece of a rubber tire. True story.
