I finally got to see this "controversial" ad:

www.bbc.com

Peloton Christmas commercial sparks sexism mockery
The Peloton advert, titled 'The Gift That Gives Back' has come under harsh criticism from Twitter users in the US. They claim the husband wants his 'already rail-thin' partner to lose weight.
‘Nothing says “you need to drop a few pounds” like surprising your wife with a Peloton for Xmas’
Peloton exercise bike ad mocked as being 'sexist' and 'dystopian'
A Christmas ad for the exercise bike firm has been mocked on social media as being "out of touch".
Peloton exercise bike ad mocked as being 'sexist' and 'dystopian'
my opinion: A man wanting his wife to lose weight? OH THE HUMANITY!Some people complained it is sexist for a man to give his wife an exercise bike for Christmas, as it suggested he wanted her to lose weight.
