Do you think that sociopathic serial killers do it to get bad-boy cred with women?

I was reading about this killer

and it got me thinking that deep down, subconsciously perhaps, such killers - who are almost always male, and in the rare case of women, typically lesbian (i.e., Aileen Wuornos, aka "The Monster") - do it to get bad-boy cred with women. They figure that as a law-abiding man, they don't get any action, but that by being a merciless killer with no "good guy" conscience, women will respect them (and even have a penpal relationship while on death row!) It seems that a lot of women are indeed quite attracted to such men, as they are the baddest of the bad.

But seriously, when betas and omegas snap it's always interesting, those poor fvckers are never dull when they reach that breaking point. I'm also predicting a WHOLE lot more snapping in the future. Maybe for some of them, in a roundabout way. Like not specifically getting cred, just some twisted way of getting attention. Makes them feel powerful, which is what drives people to accumulate massive amounts of wealth.

I'd put them in the same class as politicians.

a sociopath will do what he likes to do and that don't mean to get cred with woman he will do it mostly because he don't care about anyone other then himself and not all sociopaths kill people, some just use people for they own use, like marrying a older richer person just to get money from then, manipulating people to do they will, killing is just one thing they can do

I believe there are 3 categories:

1) Sociopathic serial killer. Doesn't do it to get any bad boy cred or respect from women. Does it, like bethemen said, because of neural wiring and probably a bit of issues growing up.

2) Frustrated beta who can't get women so he goes full rampage (see: James Holmes). Even after the shooting he asks if women will come visit him in prison. Omega game?

3) Small subsect who do it for cred. I suspect this is a minority though, and not necessarily serial killers, probably more along the lines of gangbangers/cartel/etc.

I doubt very much that many of these guys do this to get "bad boy cred" or to attract women. But John Hinckley Jr. shot Reagan to impress Jodie Foster, so who knows?

I do think there are some guys who "snap", partly because of their frustrations with women though. I don't find that hard to believe.

most serial killers do not want anyone to know who they are until they snap and want attention from authorities and start leaving messed up clues like letters under fingernails and crap like that.

nevertheless, here is how conversations never go with serial killers:

I think it's kind of amusing the way so many people here think the way to become an alpha male and get laid on a regular basis is to kill a bunch of people and end up on death row. I mean yeah, some of them get letters from some crazy women, but there are surely easier ways.

Can you imagine going through all that, you're on death row, and then not one crazy b!tch sends you a letter wanting to marry you? You'd be all "Where's all my wimmen?" lol.
