I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
How so? You know what I'm into MUSIC, COMPUTERS, VIDEO GAMES, and you know maybe there are people in my school who also like that stuff, but I have no way of knowing of that. I like to talk about stuff I KNOW. Hell even band people don't discuss music that much. There's only one guy that I know, who's really into music that I talk to from time to time(Guess you could consider us friends), and even we don't talk that much.Nighthawk said:Having no friends is weird.
Being into music, computers and video games are all well and fine, but I still stand by my opinion that you need to expand your horizons. Computers and video games are practically the same thing anyway... and no, don't lecture me about the difference, as I used to be big into gaming.MrConfidence said:How so? You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
Nope, I just don't have any friends. And music IS a big part of my life dude, I play 4 instruments, I'm in marching band, and I'm pretty confident I have what it takes to make jazz band this year. I'm also in wrestling, and track. So how can I expand my horizons if I'm already doing the stuff I like to do? Music, computer-related things, and sports take up a lot of my time.Mr_rogers said:Being into music, computers and video games are all well and fine, but I still stand by my opinion that you need to expand your horizons. Just to let you know, it really is weird to have no friends. I can't imagine that. I fail to see how anyone could have no friends unless they go around purposely pissing people off.
Okay, I don't really understand what you meant by that first sentence, there. I can see your point about having little time with wrestling, and music, though I'm sure you have more than you make it sound.MrConfidence said:Nope, I just don't have any friends.
