"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Couple questions of mine.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

lol yep, ya know Viper.. there is no logical way out of it.

Your gonna have to turn off your brain as you do this sh!t and just try to get some friends.. this is one of those things that people can't or don't give enough of a sh!t to do anything for you.

Your gonna have to turn off your brain and simply just talk to people, people are gonna think your weird (you are) but steam past it man. Before you know it you'll have some friends. There is no clear answer, but it's still easy once you get it. Just don't think. Your not stupid, just you have no balls. lol.. through all this stuff your gonna have to go through you'll get some social skills and then later laugh at your post.

Something you come to realize is that people are just people, there is no socially flawless guy (the more some guy thinks he is, the less he probally is) out there, so relax and just talk.

I guess they care but voice tone is ultimately a small detail. More important things to worry about

Yeah you need friends. Even one or two good buddies may be all you need. Don't fool yourself and think it's cool to be a lonewolf. Figure out what you're into and hang out with people who are into it too. It's easy to talk when you both want to discuss the same thing.

Go to homecoming anyways. Even if it sucks at least you went. Maybe it'll be fun.

Sounds like you're just a bit rusty with people in general. Get better with them and women won't be as mysterious.

Having no friends is weird.
How so? You know what I'm into MUSIC, COMPUTERS, VIDEO GAMES, and you know maybe there are people in my school who also like that stuff, but I have no way of knowing of that. I like to talk about stuff I KNOW. Hell even band people don't discuss music that much. There's only one guy that I know, who's really into music that I talk to from time to time(Guess you could consider us friends), and even we don't talk that much.

Being into music, computers and video games are all well and fine, but I still stand by my opinion that you need to expand your horizons. Computers and video games are practically the same thing anyway... and no, don't lecture me about the difference, as I used to be big into gaming.

Just to let you know, it really is weird to have no friends. I can't imagine that. I fail to see how anyone could have no friends unless they go around purposely pissing people off.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Nope, I just don't have any friends. And music IS a big part of my life dude, I play 4 instruments, I'm in marching band, and I'm pretty confident I have what it takes to make jazz band this year. I'm also in wrestling, and track. So how can I expand my horizons if I'm already doing the stuff I like to do? Music, computer-related things, and sports take up a lot of my time.

You don't own a trenchcoat and a collection of automatic weapons by any chance?

Okay, I don't really understand what you meant by that first sentence, there. I can see your point about having little time with wrestling, and music, though I'm sure you have more than you make it sound.
