Howdy! I broke my right elbow some 5 weeks ago after some painful bike accident!
The fracture is fixated with wires and I am able to almost fully move the arm, but I cannot put any weight on it (my triceps has almost disappeared). The doctor says I should wait another 1-2 months before putting heavy strain on it.

But I want to keep the rest of my body fit! I'm going crazy just sitting around.

I've started working out again, but I can't do most of the things I usually do (pullups, pushups, bench press etc).
What kind of exercises can you recommend for training shoulders/back/chest/Torso in general?
The deal is: no pressure on the right arm, including biceps, triceps and the bones in the elbow.

At the moment I'm only doing legs and abs - have some creative ideas? :)

Dont be a dumbass. Just keep doing legs and abs, unless you want to f*ck up your arm even more.

Legs, abs, and maybe some hyperextensions for your lower back.

Other than that, work on your diet. Then when doc says you're free to go, start training arms/chest/shoulders.

Yeah, I already said I'm not doing anything with the arm. Just wanted to check with you guys if there's any easy exercise I'm missing... well apparently not.

Sounds like you can still still squat, so you're all set.

I wouldn't squat. Way too difficult to stabilize the bar with only 1 good arm.

Stick to leg press until your arm heals up.

Yeah, I didn't do any.
But as I said, yesterday I managed my first pushup and also a pullup with both arms, so I'll be hitting the gym in a couple of days! Finally.

Do snatches with the left arm, DB curls, overhead press, whatever you can grab in the left arm. I forgot where i read it but when you work out one arm the other improves in strength regardless of you using it, to maintain balance it shifts over like 20% of gains or something. Your broken right arm will get stronger because your lifting with your left. So dont stop working out thats for sure.

And how do you expect to be fit if you ruin the arm again?

I know exactly how you feel. A year ago I completely screwed up my knee and was on crutches for 2 months. Now, I strained something in my wrist and can't put ANY stress on it for 4-6 weeks. Not to mention I'm sick lol. Anyway, I have a stability ball at home so I've been using that for abs and I've been doing regular, unweighted squats (not much more I can do).

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
