"Influence", by Robert Cialdini. It highlights six marketing techniques, but it's really about human psychology - you can apply it just as well to hanging out with friends, dating, etc.

About Robert Greene's books like the 48 Laws of Power, I'm reading them now; I see the valid points, but I wish it was more concrete with practical lessons. It seems a bit like reading fortune-cookies. Maybe I'm just not clever enough. For example, Law #16 tells you "scarcity increases value". In the Rational Male, he says something like "don't be available to see her on weekends if she's not a solid plate". To me the second is more useful, as I don't always see how Greene's laws are supposed to play out in terms of concrete actions.
I felt the same about 48 laws. It is a good book but seems too vague a lot of the time.

For me "the rational male", "how to win friends and influence people" and "48 laws of power" have been the most profound. What about you guys? Any recommendations?
Same here for TRM and 48 Laws.

Also:

Game: Roosh V. (landed three same day lays within two months of following his advice)

The Natural: Richard La Ruina (basically the same as Roosh’s Game, but has excellent sections on conversational lines that you can tweak to make your own - picked up two Brazilian girls the day after reading one of his sections and using one of his conversation starters)

12 Rules: Jordan Peterson (mostly the part of assuming the people you talk to may know something you don’t)

The Plague: Albert Camus (read it multiple times. kind of pertinent to COVID times. take action and live the life you want now, you only get one shot)

Moby D!ck: Herman Melville (less specific to social interactions, but helped with changing my social circles to more closely align with my long term career goals)

That was around a decade ago.

That book is all about letting go of your preconceived notions. About everything.

I ended up a fvcking beast.

For better or worse, depending who you ask.
Just now put that book in my Amazon cart. Thx for the advice. Sounds like a good read.

No more Mr Nice Guy
TBH that book is a little sappy but has some good exercises.

What I will say is thank god Amazon suggested The Rational Male as an additional purchase when I bought No More Mr Nice Guy.

NMMNG was a nice amuse-bouche to TRM. Bezos got it right on that one

Alan Roger Currie 'Mode One: Let The Women Know What You're Really Thinking'. The book is about honest, direct communication with women, and made me realise that a direct approach to women is FAR better than being indirect.

Yeah I think I see what you mean. I am not sure if this due to the author's actual point of view or because he wanted to please the publisher by writing it that way.
In any case, the reason it clicked so well with me is that it was one of the first books of this kind that I ever came across, during a period when I had low confidence, and I really resonated with the underlying message.

It was later that I read the rational male etc.

Game is good too. Red pill piss me off because of the way they trash rooshv. I don't think he was ever epic at game but I appreciate the contributions made.

I didn't like Game as much as Bang and Day Bang because by the time I read Game, I had been practicing game for years. Game is good for the level in which it was written. Game was written for novices who were not familar with the Manosphere writings of 2010-2017. By the time Game was released, I had already been doing no soy products, no processed foods, no porn, and no masturbation. Roosh did discuss no porn and no masturbation in those books.

Roosh changed a lot. He was a valuable contributor to pickup and game for many years.

Roosh was more of an advocate of indirect game at non-bar venues whereas others have advocated for direct game in non-bar venues. Indirect vs direct is a good debate and I've never actually settled on which one is better. Both can be effective. You won't get kicked out of grocery stores and malls for going indirect, though you could get kicked out for going direct.

Socially?
How to win friends and influence people

Women?
The book of Pook

They both emphasize just not caring and do what you want in social interactions.
That first book is super outdated, the first chapter he talks about dualing with swords. Plenty of books these days that are more relevant for current circumstances.

Rollo tomassi has an excellent book for example

It's more or less about paying respect to the OG mystery and those that put it all forward. I think Strauss is a cuck and a con man shill. First to the market. I find myself annoyed with the red pill using Rooshv as a punching bag. Trashing a dude who is going his way. I took value in the following. As for the game, it introduced me to mystery, pickup, rsd, and so on. I never did routine btw. It was cool to see the framework though. Before that was Doc love and the system lulz.

Roosh changed a lot. He was a valuable contributor to pickup and game for many years.
Which is why nobody should be trashing him especially without their infields and receipts.

I found useful mixing both being ideal. I can approach indirect but from a man to woman. There's no point of approaching from the perspective she's unsure of whether he will take it out lulz. It's funny that it's mostly dated content now but it had been ground breaking at one time or another.

In my lifetime, I had traveled and met some ridiculous playboys and naturals. IMHO it's not a comparison. I think naturals are hardwired and just got it though a unnatural can go bigger because they are invested.

It's pretty useless afterwards. Not getting a girl is gay. Running aroused and humping everything is a wasted life. I suspect these guys get ED later on and cucked too. First pride then the fall.

One of my mates introduced the concept of telling no to his gf and abstaining. He wants to keep his energy and testosterone. No homo. Good looking dude. Natty. Deezd. Been pulling since he got out of the womb. Baeeeee loves him off. This fella went on to abstain after a breakup for a year. All he did was lift, meditate, and pray on a nomad venture. Women would be knocking on his door begging for sex and he would deny. It was ****ed. There's something to it. I suppose being able to pull but choosing is the ideal path.

My days off from chain gunning cold approach. Chasing legendary status. Flash game and sniper approach when the impulse comes up. It's a **** show and a waste otherwise.

Happy holidays.

Only read "How to Win Friends..." and listened to 48 laws (as well as popular psyche "Think And Grow Rich"), sure they may have "added" to my meshed memory of or subconscious interworkings of mine mind having read/listened to them, but for me, exploring stories of the natural world or learning ethology or about our bizarre place we were born into, history, and development or evolving through time, helps allow me to think on my feet in social interaction. There are clowns who may be able to be a better or total circus monkey to "entertain" Both sexes in a social scenario (for me, at least 5 days a week I'm thrown in to the midst of one on one, two on one, three on one, four on one, or a whole team of familiars vs me, a sole agent, and I have to bend and swerve to keep the peace and/or handle with kid gloves or be serious or keep it "light" or no politics/religion or be non-controversial in speech when I'd rather be biting or grating against their mellow or smooth-brains).

So for me, over the past 4 years, Robert Ardrey's Nature of Man series beginning 1961 through the early 70s has raised or peeked my intellect to be inquisitive about what we've learned as a human race, what to make of it, and where we are or may be going (nukes, how our behavior is entering new territory after 1000s of years of being meat-eating PREDATORS in our origin and existence through time). The past 50 or so years has been uncharted territory for humans on Earth. I don't think it can last without our going extinct first. Sorry. With no nations, we become slaves to someone or some thing, debased, no soul, just material.

So I've read, "African Genesis," "The Territorial Imperative," "The Social Contract," and soon to start "The Hunting Hypothesis" (short).

So creative understandings, I think, help you be creative in the words you choose to be "social." If you drone the same memes and accepted language I'm sure you could survive social situations just fine, but will you Ever be remembered by what you say or your introduction of a breaking of droning continuous record.

Finding stuff that's been suppressed is difficult. Religion stuffs Real science by touting "Consensus says..." but we know how idiotic consensus has proven to be ahem "blood-letting" "Galileo persecuted" and countless others being threatened to say what "consensus" wants said. The "nurse," for instance, that just fainted from the "COVID" Vaxx TWENTY NINE MINUTES after she took the shot. LIARS abound... https://www.bitchute.com/video/hVMg2HBpwSe8/
