With her drug usage, plus her weight going crazy, I'd say the cause is up in the air. The media will more than likely blame it on a heart attack or something like that, but I'm going to say that drug use of some form ended her life. (If not acumulated damage from her years of being an addict.)

Even though I do not really care for her, it is slightly sad to see a human being go. If anything, I admired her ambition, though perhaps tainted by her lack of morality in marrying a dying man. Either way, I would rather look at the positives of everything.
I think she went through a lot, for example losing her son. Yet, whether with drugs or not, she seemed to always be in a bubbly/friendly mood (at least when I saw her on TV), so I also admire that aspect of her enthusiastic personality.
