The only way a breakup can be anything but mutual is if one person is living in denial of blatantly obvious signs that the other person is not reciprocating.

If you ever just come right out and say "I want X, and if you can't provide that, then we need to go our separate ways", chances are they will tell you they are sorry they can't provide X (if they could, they would have already). Remember: they probably wanted to.

Then, there is nothing left to do but hug and say you are happy you met them and move on.

When a man gets to a certain knowledge level with women and plays his cards right he will never get dumped again. That is because he will be smart enough to see the signs of the storm coming in and end it before she does.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

The other night, while sitting in a hotel, my date got a text and said "Oh, God. There is this guy, and he just won't figure it out that I'm not interested". At that moment I opened the closet door and my suitcase was already packed, and I said "That reminds me: I'm leaving you because you haven't put out after 4 dates".
