"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Just use the age old formula.

Take your age, divide it by two.

Then add seven to that figure.

That is the youngest age you can go.

25/2 = 12.5
12.5 + 7 = 19.5
So, you live your life by a formula?LOL

How dumb. As long as they are over 18, just do whatever feels right. Each person has a different level of maturity that can't be determined by some formula.

Maturity level, yours and hers are what matter.

If she's mature and 18, what's the problem?

The answer is one. One hour.
If you can be around her for one hour without sighing and rolling your eyes over what a giggling little schoolgirl she is, then she's mature enough :)

What? You worried that everybody else will think? Trust me: no one else is really that interested in the age of whom you're dating.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

That's just goofy.

If they're legal, do what you want.

Provided both people are "legal" and mature enough to be able to handle what they're getting into, it all depends upon the individuals involved, and what they want to get out of it.

For me it's under 7 years max, but they can never be older than me.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

To have sex? Sure. To "date"? I mean, she cannot drink...she cannot party...she cannot do anything. Are you going to her senior prom?

~~~ chuckling ~~~
When dealing with an 18 year-old for a FB/fling situation, emotional stability would be more on-point. In other words, to avoid a possible Rodin/Claudel situation where the poor girl gets destroyed by the situation.
I'm having an 80's party next Saturday. I'm almost 35 years old. One of my lady friends that is going to be there is 36. A couple of them are 31-33. There will likely be at least a dozen (probably closer to two dozen) girls that are in the 24-27ish range. At least 3 or 4 are barely 21. At least one isn't even old enough to drink.
Point is, why does everyone make such a big deal about age? It's only an issue if YOU make it an issue. I feel like a broken record.....
