Master Don Juan
.. how bad is this to eat?
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
I dunno, possibly.Francisco d'Anconia said:Is that the same stuff that's underneath the stove?
You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

YHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAA THAT WAS TOO FUNNY
Exactly what I was wondering and ya answered it to a T. Thanks for the detailed info.Throttle said:you'll know if you get the blackened stuff into the sauce... it'll have black crumblies in it & taste smoky. if you eat your steaks rare to medium-rare then you shouldn't need to blacken it, and all steak lovers should get comfortable with eating well-seared but not blackened medium rare steaks. that's an opinion from one steak lover to another. if it comforts you, i don't know of any epidemiological evidence linking cancer and eating well-done steaks, but here's the science:

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
I'll have to try that.RedPill said:Try this. . .
If you're pan-cooking steak, make a bed of sliced onions (use an entire onion) to cover the bottom of the pan. Use a small amount of oil or butter to keep the onions from burning, and cook the steak on top of the onions. The juices from the steak will infuse the onions, creating a delicious side item to go with the steak. The steak will still cook well and won't make total contact with the pan surface. You'll get full flavor with minimal burnage.
Ah, but you miss out on all of that seared, juice infused goodness. Poaching a steak is good if you're making a pot roast type deal but even then you want to sear the meat to insulate the inside moistness.JohnnyIrish said:I'll have to try that.
What I just learned and tried:
Took my steak, cut off the fat. Then cut them long ways (so you have about 1/2 or 2/3 inch thick strips of steak. Put butter and olive oil in a pan. As it melts add steak. Add in 1/4 cup of water, kosher salt, pepper, parsley, and garlic. Keep stirring. When the water is close to being fully evaporated, the steak should be done (I tasted it and yep.. perfect). At this point add in another tsp of butter and mix it twice around. Pour the steak and its contents on a place with its sauce.
Besides this tasting better then any steak I previously cooked.. A major bonus for me is this just delt with evaporating water.. so no SMOKE! Yay.. my fire alarm didn't go off this time!:woo:
