"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Sosuave,

How do you respond to a guy playing games (stupid text games precisely), and some disrespect?

This was someone I used to care about and respect. Now everything has gotten to a point where I'm fed up and need to put him back in his place and stand my ground.

Do I freeze him out? I haven't fed his hamster in ages. It's been around 4 days I stopped texting him. I want to "out-game" his game, so to speak. I already got a nice wall up.

Thanks Everyone, Help a N:):)dle

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Can you elaborate on what text games he's playing and how he is overall disrespecting you?

It doesn't matter if you date men, just take it in a general aspect. Has nothing to do with gender specifics

I really want to cut these games in two.

You want to play games to get a drama fix. Recognize that first. Ignore him forever. Anything else you are giving attention, which he wants.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I'm sure there are plenty of guys here willing to help you, but you're going to need to give us some specifics.

This is a forum for straight men, so I doubt you'd get much advice regarding your problem. On second thought, you may want to PM Gaylan.

Ignore it; no response can be the most frustrating thing to someone who is trying to attack you.

Thanks Vice and Lorenzo. You're right. I'll just stop the texts like I been doing. It's also a less problematic way. I must add that the only time I will respond is if there is something very important to be said as well as if he initiates :)

Everything under the sun is gender-specific.

A common misconception among the handful of women here is that what works with women also works with men. In reality, techniques that men must use in order to effectively deal with women almost always backfire when women use them in their dealings with men.

I will repeat it... All things under the sun are gender-specific.

Secondarily, when you say "How do you respond to a guy playing games (stupid text games precisely), and some disrespect?", there is no way anyone can advise you without specific examples. We're not mind readers. Your refusal to give specifics concretely shows that you wrote your post because you were bored and wanted a little attention fix. Oops, bait taken....

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

when you say you haven't fed his hamster, are we talking about an actual animal here? cuz that sounds like abuse, and I may need to call the ASPCA
