It's NOT doing those kinds of things that freak a woman out. It's neediness and clinginess that freaks her out. You can do every one of those things without smothering a woman. The mistake a lot of men make is this...
When a woman has her fill of intimacy and closeness she will pull away a little bit. Some men freak out when she does this and tries to give her more intimacy than she needs...desperately clinging to her because he thinks her pulling away means she doesn't want him anymore. So he grabs on tightly and won't let go. This makes her pull away even more...and he clings more. Eventually she can't take it anymore because the guy is smothering her and not giving her enough breathing room.

She equates this to you thinking about her and that will keep her very happy. If you show up with a gift for her for absolutely no reason, it will be worth it's weight in gold for your relationship. She will bullsh*t to her friends about it and you will get huge rewards.
