"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

In all seriousness, have you ever thought about finishing med school then concentrating on women? We all have to take some time away from women in order to order to reach personal goals and unfortunately I've seen women stall or even derail a guy's future. You're young dude. I wouldn't go too far out of your way just to get chicks.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I work in medicine and the above post by jaymbrs is absolutely spot on. Focus on your career and reaching your goals. By your username it sounds like you are studying to become a doctor? If this is true, then the absolute last thing on your mind should be women. I would even go far to say that you should not date until after you have completed your residency.

Yes that is correct. I have a lot of **** going on in my life, and I don't know where to begin. Additionally, I've been side tracked with getting girls. But I feel like if I focus on studying like I did before, I will never be able to talk to girls . Yet even get in a relationship. My biggest fear is getting an arranged marriage. My family is from one of the brown people countries, and it's acceptable there.

I asked her how she was feeling about her midterm and was typing then stopped... And hasn't replied
Look at what you just wrote. You asked a girl how she feels about a midterm. Midterms typically aren’t a sexy topic and talking about is like talking about the weather.

There are a 1000 ways talk to a woman just be interesting, flirt, be patient, and do reveal too much. It’s about giving a woman a taste of who you are (a fun, interesting, happening guy) not giving her the whole picture.

Be a movie trailer don’t be the movie until she’s dying to see it.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I think my issue lies on the fact that I don't actually have a hobby, or something I like to do.. Unless it relates to my goals. I think if I can find an interesting hobby, build rapport, I can go on a plethora of dates.

The looks department, I'm fine.

You've already gotten a ton of advise, so I'll just chime in that personally I prefer building rapport as much as possible before asking for the number, if she has a fun time chatting with you and you ask for her number she will be excited to talk to you. I prefer calling if possible since it's easier to gauge but texting do the same as others have suggested. It will take a lot of time and effort to get good at it and considering you're a medical student, you could easily mess your studies up.

Worse yet if you start getting successful women pretend to care about your priorities but they will dominate all your time so tread carefully. Also hobbies are for you, most won't be useful for getting women, I play soccer (and various other sports though not regularly), enjoy various types of books, comics and do programming, can't talk about most of that with women other than passing mentions.

Based on their texts, these women look like real pieces of work for any DJ. They seem to text with with the attention span and writing skills of a house fly.
It's simply called lack of interest. If they were actually interested they wouldn't respond like that. OP, could it be possible these women are giving you their number so you will leave then alone? You did say you were somewhat socially inept...just a thought
