It's a 2006. I recently had to replace the whole muffler because it literally snapped in half. It's got one of those red exclamation mark "problem" indicators that goes away after driving for a minute or two. Properly diagnosing it requires us to take it to Toyota World, and fixing it would probably cost more than the car is worth.

So at this point, we're just seeing how long it's got left.

Isn't this how men tend to fail with women? They get intimidated by their lack of experience and give up before they even start trying.

If I had to guess, the muffler probably got messed up because there's a neighborhood I drive through that has a lot of really annoying speed bumps that I have to drive diagonally across to not bottom out on.

As for the code reader, it's not that simple. We had one before, which incorrectly diagnosed the Prius, so we stopped using it and just referred to the manual and some Google searches. I recently had to replace a headlight, but getting in there requires taking a part of the bumper off, which means it HAS to be done by a mechanic. Amazon lists parts by compatibility with your car, and I purchased 2 ballasts and igniters with bulbs, which have to be specifically HID bulbs.

The parts weren't the ideal size, despite Amazon's listing, so I was charged around $400 to replace ONE of the bulbs because of the amount of time and labor it took for my mechanic to get in there and replace it. In order to do the other, he said he'd have to charge me double, so I declined.

It really is a massive pain in the a**, so we're probably going to let it run its course, and I'll probably then buy something cheap and reliable.

I went through an initial phase where I tried to acquire as much knowledge as possible before making moves in real life. I read Book of Pook, watched a bunch of episodes of Keys to the VIP, and discovered more underground guys like Good Looking Loser, Boy Toy Story, and Strength By Sonny.

It's hard to recommend anybody because it's so easy to fake this stuff...I mean, look how many people read my own LRs and don't believe me.

I'd be following some of these gurus, and I'd later find out that the girls in their videos are hired models and actresses who are just helping them sell some course or boot camp. Others will post infields of them getting a girl's number by walking around with a dog or something - numbers mean next to nothing - I got a handful of numbers this past weekend, and so far nothing's become of them.

If you're asking who's material I suggest reading/watching, there isn't anybody. My suggestion is to go out into the real world, find out what works best for you through trial and error.

As you say, lots of them fake it too a huge degree. They kind of have too. It's their business. They are essentially selling a lie. Some are bigger frauds than others. Huge frauds are people like johnanthony, that new 'bayne' guy and writers like chaseamante etc.

'Finding out what works for you through trial and error' has a spurious ring of truth too it, but at the same time it ignores both the random nature as well as the overriding important note that most stuff will 'work' when you open a girl who is attracted to you, and nothing will 'work' if you open a girl who is very cold towards your approach due too a lack of attraction.

I'd say that there are actually a handful of PUA's out there who i'd certainly say DO have 'game'. People like vadim of honest signals. Austen Summers. Richard from 'street attraction'. In my mind they undoubtedly have 'game', but then that game doesn't help them when they open a girl who isn't remotely interested. We can see that even from their own infields! You can be fooled by randomness and thinking you are learning things etc

Lets assume that them guys (vadim, austin etc) have better game than you. I've never seen you in action but i'd probably happily make that assumption. (i'd happily concede they have better game than me too) - I'd still expect you to get better results on a night out than them and even steal their girls.

But then, i'd expect my ex wingman to steal your girls! And i'd also argue he has LESS 'game' than you! lol (he really didn't used to do anything that one associates with 'game', tbh! ps - I lived with my parents until well into my 20's (funnily enough that seems to be becoming very common here now in the UK due to the cost of living crisis. Every single male, even guys in their 30's and over, live in a house share or with their parents, UNLESS they have an exceptionally well paid job), Didn't do me any harm, mental or otherwise! I think we're all different. Maybe some people would suffer mentally as was suggested? I used to love it. There was kind of no downside for me personally. The legal weed industry is its own dumpster fire beyond the overall economy. The pattern is that it is great for the first few connected people who get in when the state first legalizes. Then corporate canna comes in to drive down wages and product quality, and illegal operations spring up everywhere to flood the market with supply. Oklahoma is still trying to chase out all the southeast Asian street gangs using kidnapped slave laborers. Some people have a good gig going, but overall the industry is best avoided.

I landed in it by accident and just happened to be good at it. When you get down to it, my job is a mix of sales, management, customer service, and operations. The grand irony is I don't even like smoking the stuff and don't know the first thing about strains or any of that.

You are good at seducing women. That's a somewhat transferrable skill to getting sales. It's not entirely the same because there are blue pilled, beta males who are good sales reps.

I'm good at selling myself to women, but not things/services to people. If I don't have a deep understanding of what I'm selling, and I don't believe what I'm selling is beneficial, I would guess that comes through in my lack of conviction when trying to make the sale.

I think that's why dating coaching has so far been my favorite foray. I haven't made much money with it yet, but I enjoy teaching it, am very good at it, and am helping others overcome problems that I've solved for myself.

They never see me. My job is performed entirely over the phone/on the computer. I wear sweatpants and a tank top to the shared office space my boss rents for me because nobody I'd care about would ever see me, and because I go to the gym right afterwards.

In the almost 5 years that I've been doing this job, I've had to have in-person conversations with patients maybe 2 times, and it was because they had to pay in cash as opposed to with a card or a check.

But I do agree I need to get out of the industry. It has no upward mobility or opportunity to make more money (commission). I just do it because it pays well enough, allows me some flexibility, and does not supervise me in any way if I'm getting my work done.

Interesting article attached. It reads in part that one's attractiveness plays a huge role in how successful they would be in sales. And the ability to foster a feeling a trust and likeability.

Are these not the same principles used in successful seduction?

Is the salesperson not in a sense "seducing" the customer regardless of the product?

If true which imo it is at least on some level, if @BPH is successful at seduction, I would think
applying some of those same principles would also make him successful in sales.

Presentation matters, but there's other things that go in to closing clients besides looking pretty. Strategy and Timing are more important than looks because you can have poor presentation, but close if your product works, is reliable, and the customer needs it right now.

Applying this to OP's perspective:

He can be attractive, but if he is going after women that are not single and not looking to leave their current situation then he will have a more difficult time or he is attractive and going after single women, but his approach method is giving most women the ick and he is only able to close desperate drunk women that just want dvck right now.

To repeat I said some of the same principles used in successfully selling a product can be used to successfully sell (and market) yourself to women.
