"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

To all you Karate Connoisseurs out here, what are some the qualities you look for in a legit school? I'm thinking of taking Muay Thai when I come back to America, I'll probably try out for one day and get the feel and then decide if the whole experience is worth it. I'm also interested in Aikido, I might also try out a class in that aswell.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Might go around June or July depending on family obligations. Ive gotten in really good physical shape out here, I hope to maintain it by doing more cooking and working out at that park near my house.

How long are you staying?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I love Thai boxing. Some things to look for:

This goes for any sort of (Muay Thai, BJJ etc) a really good academy will have an alumni / 'fighter' section on website of all athletes who train there. I don't think you're trying to go professional or anything so this isn't really important ----

Most important thing will be transparency. Good places will let you drop in at least once and you can get feel for place. Things to look out for: is place clean, equipment (bags to use etc), are people actually sparring (very empty place or people just standing around is not good sign) / the frequency this occur, is staff forthcoming/answer questions especially about schedule & pricing (if just shove contract in your face without explaining much of anything is a bad sign). Are the trainers respected/legitimate? Doesn't have to be successful like Payakaroon but should be someone who loves the martial art and preferably has competed before (don't want like glorified fitness instructor who "dabbled" in Muay Thai one weekend).

Age of attendees ---> some martial arts places cater to more younger crowd (obviously you want adult oriented place).

Local reviews of place will provide you with enough information to make determination. Just a matter of then visiting and seeing if like the vibe. Use what above as things to look out for. Keep clinching

Instructors and students who are decorated head to to toe in laceration scars, and who boast at least few fake teeth, thanks to the natural ones being taken out in real-time combat. 98% of what masquerades as "training" these days is essentially LARPing as a samurai

If he trained Akido and then got in a real fight, he wouldn't be around any more to post all these spam-generated nonsense threads.

have you trained in Aikido before? You do know most popular fights in mma are rigged and scripted because of $$$$ and Vegas bettings right? So where do you get your real life fighting inspirations from?

Brotha no offense but Aikido is non sense. You can do better than that. Do a sport that is battle tested in competitions like Muy Thai, BJJ etx.

I do agree that some UFC fights are scripted ( McGregor vs Cerrone, Jones vs Gane) etc.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

What's the likely chances you're gonna run into a UFC fighter that is honorable and wants to fight you? The truth of the matter is you train for the everyday dirt bag freaks and thugs that are out there, that are in a bad state of consciousness and wants to cause trouble. With a little martial arts knowledge like Aikido mix with BJJ and Judo you can definitely subdue them in most situations.

Yes I agree. Make sure you mix the Aikido with grappling tho.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Akido is trained against a non resisting opponent. So as long as you get in a fight with someone who does not resist at all, you should be good.
It's ideal MA for every summer camp counselor worth his salt, who never fails to have a Milky Way bar in his pocket, thus obliterating the likelihood of anyone fighting back
