Methinks Alvafe is European, hence his contention that even though guns is banned in his country there's still an alarmingly large number of guns there that's available for criminal elements - that's the basis for my reply towards him - lax enforcement due to corruption etc.

Your country reminds me of the Philippines, at least in the southern part of it.

The problem is, the EU itself doesn't facilitate immigration from outside of the EU and never did, nor does the EU control Britain's Home Office. In fact, it's even the EU's directive here (whose first sentence is "In order to combat illegal immigration effectively, ...") which is making asylum seekers travel by foot in the first place since they are effectively restricted from air travel. It won't be any harder for those extra-EU people to come to or stay in the UK than it is now. And they won't be held any longer in jail than they are now, and the same thing for the other issues - the Tory party has already been in control of the country since 2010, and indeed the majority of the UK's post-war history.

If anything the proportion of third world migrants is likely to increase after Brexit:

- To pick up business' new slack that won't be filled by EU migrants anymore
- Other countries will, and already are (like India), insisting that the UK include immigration rights/movement of people into trade deals

Boris Johnson is a habitual liar both by observation and according to his own family and former associates, so you really can't go by anything he says. But yes, witnessing the Brexit spectacle - not that the decision itself is right or wrong, but rather the oscillation between astonishing ignorance and hard-nosed fact resistance about the structures and functions of both the EU and Britain's national government, and that people cheer as their leaders habitual liars, tax evaders and smear campaigners - has contributed to my philosophical pessimism.

It's always abt the economy, otherwise why do people even bother to take in migrants with the backlash it produces?

Even tiny Singapore without much land takes in migrants but they do it cleverly - offering them work permits 1st and then only the cream of the crop is offered citizenship.

They do it to spur competition amongst their own citizens who they feel are pampered, gain more talents by enlarging that pool, have an adequate skill force to do manual work, etc.

Of course the Singaporean bottom feeders will feel the squeeze and if they don't level up despite all the opportunities given by their own society then they'll just fade away into obscurity.

Obviously the white population has grown historically as all populations have done due to better standards of living and advances in medicine but at the moment they are in decline.

I can't watch popular commercial content, I'm sorry (I don't watch TV, not sure where you got that one from though, I'd think it's too long to be a TV commercial). I got to 1:05 but felt too irritated and patronized by the narrator's voice and the drawn out structure to continue.
