All states should be equal.
They essentially are equal. Each state gets 2 Senators regardless of population while House Representatives are apportioned to states based on population. So while California can exert tremendous influence in the House, smaller states like Nebraska can fight back in the Senate.

For any bill to become law they must pass both chambers of Congress and be signed by the president. This system forces cooperation between the House and the Senate which solves the dilemma of population imbalance between states....

.....aka California cannot bully Kentucky, and Kentucky cannot ignore California....

....the Founding Fathers were truly prescient, they knew that a pure democracy is a gateway to mob rule and tyranny....

There have been 58 presidential elections in US history. Of those 58, 53 presidents have won both the popular vote and the electoral vote....

Only 5 times out of 58 have a president won the electoral vote while losing the popular vote. That means only 8.6% of presidents ever got elected while losing the popular vote...

.....so we can clearly see that most often the electoral vote aligns with the popular vote and only on rare occasions does a candidate win the electoral vote while losing the popular vote....

Yet leftists are trying to construe the EC as a process that exclusively undermines the popular vote when it isnt, it was designed as a way to give smaller states a fair chance at having their votes weighted against larger states. Again, it's the concept of not allowing large states to bully small states....

....fair....

That’s my point. But blackface over there doesn’t seem to get it.

Why should a state with 590,000 people be equal to a state with 40 million people? You’re saying the 590,000 people should have more say than the 40 million. Why should that be?
Because that 590,000 voted for Trump. Much of that 40 million did not. If you vote for Trump, your life should be valued as more sacred than those who did not. It’s common sense dude.

Thank goodness for the Electoral College which prevents the tyranny of mob rule aka the tyranny of 51%....

With the EC, even small rural states have a fair shot at having their voices heard and their concerns addressed. The EC insures that large states cant bully smaller states....
Tyranny of the mob is hardly as undesirable as minority rule such as apartheid.

Large states should bully small states. California’s economy as about 100 times larger than Kentucky. In New Jersey we pay more Federal taxes relative to what we receive than any state in the country. Stop mooching off us.

....so rare that the last two Republican Presidents each lost the popular vote and won the electoral college.

You want minority rule, I get it. You want the few to govern the many. You’re anti-democratic.
Read my two prior posts, the EC doesnt guarantee minority rule, it merely gives small states a fighting chance against large states. 91% of US Presidents have won both the popular vite and the electoral vote... Only 5 times have a president won the EC while losing the popular vote...

Population gap is widening. 2 of the last 4 Presidents have lost the popular vote and won the EC. Small states shouldn’t have a “fighting chance.”

Well.. I don’t have a thing for owning other human beings.
But you do seem to believe in mob rule tyranny because you stated you dont believe small states deserve a fighting chance at having their voices heard...
