"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

The debate about paying for dinners....
If she obviously made herself up to the nines then the man pays, straight up. And vice versa and all in between approximately to each taste. I say that because first date and she was done up...like tight shirt, little shorts, tight package.

I mean...I was sitting there thinking wow this bird just waxed, lotioned, didn't eat all day, heels, hair, etc,
Time consuming shyt, and all the products they use. And I didn't even shave my 5 o'clock shadow. So there's showing effort

Date was cool. Laughs, kino, new venue, higher kino, cab, higher kino. Etc...

In 30 minutes I found out if she was down to keep me around, or shall I say, she was not going to let me pass by. ..and then that's where I turned on my fun meter and took the ball.

An idea of what first dates should emulate and add upon.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I think that if you suggested to go to have dinner and it is a first date, ok, then you can pay if you like her. However, in this day and age, she should offer to pay her half as well.
She took three hours to get dressed? so what? you're the prize, remember? she should put some effort.

You did not even kiss her, right?

A first date should never be dinner...drinks only. Wasting time and money on a woman that I have no idea if she is worth it, along with forced boring conversation isn't my thing.

Did you fvck her? If not I'd refrain from saying it was "great". I've had plenty of those before and a second date never happened.

Drinks can rack up price too.

There has to be some activity going on apart from just drinks for me to have fun, I know its a date but I have to enjoy myself, so my text usually goes:

"Great, we'll do Monday. We'll go do XYZ. I'll get tickets, you get the drinks."

This sets the tone that I control the night, I am a gentleman but not a pushover.

For first dates, I pay the higher bill but she has to pay something. If it's dinner, you pay for food and desert, she pays for bottle of wine, like that.

I have to make sure she's willing to do for me as much as/even more than I'm willing to do for her, that's part of my screening process.

I live in a city were we have more festivals then days of the year... so there is always something going on. Dinner as a first date is fine... you don't have to spend a lot of money... there are always new mom and pop places opening up that have great deals and you can turn it into an adventure... "Let's discover this new place together."

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I used to love taking them to a cool bar that had pool and/or darts...instead of sitting having a boring interview style date you are having fun, competing and flirting. Much higher success rate of sexual escalation with these. And a lot cheaper.

I didn't f close. We started to mess around and she liked my enthusiasm but she stopped me. But kept saying, I know I know, we can do that later, but not right now.

She called me today to say she had fun and we did connect right away so...

Overall, I think first dates should be just drinks, and no more than 30 minutes for dudes to decide if it's a dead end.

No more keyboard jockeying . Action is the place.
i also like a bar idea, especially if there is dancing ****ing love to dance. However, drinks doesn't work if you're dating in the 18-20 year old range, unless she has a fake id.
