"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Re: Re: I can relate

oops... accidental post.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

to zelemont and any others who think have a problem asking out girls because they think they are weird:

being "weird" is more of a gift than a curse. weird simply means different or unique. no girl wants a "normal" guy when it comes down to it. you have a better chance with women because you are not the type to just try to fit in with the crowd. as you approach a girl, and i've found this to work, think of whatever you think is wrong with you, and think of how proud you are to have that trait. i myself don't exactly "fit in," but i'm accepted because i am proud to be different. that, obviously, shows confidence.

It seems like most of you wear A dress shirt with dress pants and some boots. I begin to wonder if most DJ's wear these kinds of clothing would girl want a change in our attire?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

SAME HERE!!!! I was depressed in 8th grade, so I started going to a psychologist and taking Zoloft, and I started feeling better, and I was fine for a long time, and I was GREAT all summer because I was reading this board and I felt good about myself, but then about a month ago I just started feeling like ****. I was just about to tell my parents that I was depressed and I needed to get more Zoloft, but I came to this board and started reading the bible again, and I have been working out this week, and I feel fine. Today was GREAT. I was happy at school! That is strange for me. I was being funny and I was making good conversation with everyone... I am really starting to like myself again.

Congradulations!

all around I wear nice fitting shirts/jeans; I don't really feel the need to over do it w/ my apparrel.

when I feel flashy I wear button ups and clean jeans w/ clean shoes.

favorite combo.
black tank top/wife beater
tight fitting white button up w/ black pink and yellow stripes
straight black jeans
black on white Nike Air Forces
Fashion Shields (those sun glasses that are silver at the top but fade away so they're clear at the bottom of the lens)

^ when I go sarging, this combo gets tons of compliments

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
