Besides joining comedy class or karate how do u nake friends with people at a bar or mall and get in with them?

People always talk about social circles and how thats the sure fire way of getting a chick who's truly relationship material, but in my opinion it's not.

Friends setting you up on dates is awkward. Usually you don't even know the person until you meet on the first date, and you spend the whole time making the small talk that you would have made before asking them out. Your friends typically have different perceptions/opinions on women especially if it's a chick, and the girl they set you up with who they see as "great" is normally anything but.

You'll be a lot happier meeting women yourself. Friends setting people up on dates usually doesn't end well, and puts an awkward strain on the friendship.
