Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

COLD APPROACH. Approach at least once a day, preferably 5-10. If you do this you'll be better than probably anyone you know in less than a year.

Wow dude. I would love to see you and the other guys from the old era posting some of your experiencies with the DJ thing.
