Mexico city ain't that dangerous if you use common sense. It's a far cry from rural Mexico. I know people who live there and they safe it's just as safe as big cities in the US if not safer.

Flying out to party there would be a blast. Treat thus online chick as your backup option and not so serious. Go clubbing and bang some Mexican strange.
 

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
