What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Here's a rule of thumb.

Bigger weight = bigger muscles.

When your weights stagnate, your muscles stagnate too. Then its time to switch it up. You haven;t peaked on your exercises, so don't modify.

And for you dweebs that complain that "bigger weights don't mean bigger muscles" I say show me a dude who can bench press 700 but weighs under 200.

Use pyramid sets buddy...

Work up to your 5-rep max...

Something like this:

Set1: 10% x 8
set2: 50% x 4
set3: 90% x 1
set4: 100% x 5
set5: 105% x 5
set6: 75% x 15-20

good luck

p.s. at the end of set6, your muscles should be pumping battery acid.

that's intense this is what i did today

set1: 145x5
2: 150x5
3:155x5
4:i attempted 160 twice, failed both times =/

i then went on to do 2 sets of incline at 130x5, and 3 sets of cable cross overs at 60x10

Go look up Arnold lifting, that will be proof of "bigger weights don't mean bigger muscles". He never lifted monster weights, his form was perfect and he focused on quality over quantity.

Arnold benched somewhere around 450lbs and up as a max bench. I forget the exact number since this is obscure info from 30 years ago. But I got something present day:

Brian Siders benched 315 for 31 reps at the Arnold Classic.
He also did 405x14 at a similar exhibition.

Now, look at the size the dude has on him and look at his numbers. Do you think he would be as big (chest) if he DIDN'T bench as much?

The correct answer is no.

Form is important, but more weight is priority #1. Perfect form comes next.

Form (not "perfect" form but "correct" form) is more important than how much weight you can put up, because incorrect form causes injuries. Injuries that can put you out for potentially quite a while. I get nervous anytime someone says to a newb anything that sounds like "eh, just throw it up there, you'll figure it out."

There's a difference between having acceptable form and doing an exercise completely wrong. You can push the limit by 'cheating' a bit and breaking out of form some in order to get more weight on the bar.

Also helps to have a spotter when doing such exercises to avoid injury. A competent spoter can save you from injury.

Exactly,450 is not that much when you think about it. He weighted 250 in the offseason,235 during competitions. That's not even twice his own bodyweight,it's 180%. Let's see,if Mr.O benched 180% of his own bodyweight and SET THE STANDARD FOR BODYBUILDING WITH THOSE STATS what makes you think it's all about power? IT'S ALL IN THE FORM!

BLAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry but he is fatass,I would rather be lean and lift 1/4 as much then be built like that. Don't get me wrong he lifts ALOT,but look at his build........

Form should be no.1 any time, quality over quantity.

blink, if Brian Siders dieted down to your leanness, he would hand you your ass on a plate in a bbing competition. these powerlifters generally carry more bodyweight to help in their training (but even then, only some rare exceptions are grossly out of shape) but wait til they cut down .. Andy Fiedler anyone?

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Who would have thought? I have been lifting hard and dieting for six months compared to his 12 years in the lifting business=24 times as long as I have.

When I mean 450, I mean 450 for reps. Unlike powerlifters most bodybuilders dont do a 1 rep max. Its not needed for anything.

Wow. You really know your fitness. Tell me Mr. Expert: If he's fat how the hell does he lift all that weight?

Just because he is big does net mean he is fat. The dude is 'BULKY'.

Big difference. Have you seen what Lee Priest looks like for mest of the year?

Form should be no.1 any time, quality over quantity.
Yes, form should be 1st if you want to be built like a girl.
Here's a good site for you:

He never repped that,go look at any of his videos or clips.

You are right though most bodybuilders don't max out,for the reason you stated.

Look at this thread( http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=101881 ),Siders is easily 20%+ bodyfat.

Big difference. Have you seen what Lee Priest looks like for mest of the year?
Yeah and it's nothing like Siders.

Yes, form should be 1st if you want to be built like a girl.

WOW! Let me ask you this, have you had bodybuilders offer for you to lift w/ them because they know your on the right track and want to help you accel? I don't talk out my butt.

Go look at Arnold's form on the video and tell me I'm wrong.

That was pending if you read, "blink, if Brian Siders dieted down to your leanness". I still hold my statement that he is very fat.

Being totally honest, he does have some fat to lose.

I suggest you cut the calories, to around 2300 per day, and continue to take in alot of protein, continue to do cardio, but only on days you don't lift weights.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Thear she blows! Thanks for the laugh.

Let's be honest anything over 15%ish is overweight/border line fat, and he is easily 20%+. Again,a good idea of bodyfat, http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=101881 .
I'm over 15% and i'm not fat.

bastard.

Another vote for don't switch exercises until progression dies. And even if you don't do so well on an exercise one day don't switch right away either. Wait until you're consistently missing on it. There are days that you just don't do well then next week on the same exercises you can add weight easily.
