I recently started med school, its been two weeks. I've noticed one interesting and pretty annoying trend that the girls here seem to be doing with alarming frequency. Every girl it seems here at school is packaged with a "girlfriend" who never seems to leave their side. So you always end up talking with two girls at once, and then hanging out with two girls at once, and then going out with two girls at once which is fine... but I think I can count nearly 10 pairs of girls now that I can't seem to get any viable alone time with.
Also it seems like every time I seem attracted to a girl, her "other part" always seems more attracted to me. Is this some sort of insidious defense strategy?
So far, my plan the first couple of weeks has been to play it casual and fun. I'm always nice to both girls, flirting with both, and always saying things like, "let's hang out" or "you guys should come over" and leaving the invitations open ended. I make an effort to try to show social affection to both but always keeping my real target in mind...
My idea is, if both girls think I'm a great guy... it can't hurt my chances when I try to engage my real target... The question is, how do I engage one girl while shrugging the other one off? A lot of times these girls are roomates... so its awkward. Advice needed, thanks.
