That's funny, I met my husband at the age of 37, and now we have an amazing child and a really happy marriage. And I DON'T meet him at the door with a ****tail (not that he'd likely drink it.) We have an egalitarian marriage based on love and mutual respect. We almost never fight, if I was someone else I'd probably hate us. These people are just flailing in desperation as culture changes. Hopefully they'll all die off soon. And I really hope no woman wastes a Princeton education looking for a husband.

Boom, there it is, egalitarian marriage. I think that's a feminist's new favorite word. It's okay to get married, just as long as the husband is emasculated.

I think that by the time a man hits his mid 30s, he's a lot more wary of the idea of getting married. He has more life experience, and he may have gone through a divorce himself. I think there are plenty of guys around to date women in their mid 30s, they just may not be too eager to tie the know.

In contrast, I know several couples in their early 20s recently who got married rather quickly, after knowing each other for only about six months. Younger men are surprisingly more likely to jump into something like this, maybe because they think they've found "real love" with the sudden rush of hormones. Women will too, but they don't risk as much as the man does. If anything, these days, the more husbands a woman collects, the more streams of income she produces.

I think a big factor is a female in her early 20's has a lot more bargaining power and value to get married. I think more of these mid-30's guys would commit to marriage if it was an early 20's girl.

I think men in their 20s are more likely to marry because there is less pressure to do so.

In your 20s, dating and relationships are fun. You spend time with people you like and are attracted to and/or have feelings for. Marriage might even seem EXCITING to a young guy in love (or more likely lust lol).

In your 30s (and up), it becomes a society expectation and a business transaction. Thus, it's much less fun and exciting. 20s women date you because you're cute, and they want to F you. 30s women date you because you have a job and her clock is ticking and her sister's cousin-in-law just got married and two ladies in her office are pregnant lol.

As age increases, women and some men feel more pressure which makes dating and the prospect of marriage LESS appealing.
