A Chinese-Australian woman has taken out a giant billboard in a busy part of Sydney to advertise for a husband.
Headlined "Husband Wanted", Helen Zou outlines the sort of man she is seeking and gives out her email address asking for "serious replies only".
The billboard, measuring around four metres by five metres (13 ft by 16 ft), is sited at a major intersection in Sydney's eastern Randwick suburb.
Ms Zou, 40, a civil engineer, said she did not think her idea was so strange.
Surprise
"I'm surprised a lot of people think this is special or unusual," she told Sydney's Daily Telegraph.
"It's Australia. There's a lot of freedom here. If you can put up a sign advertising Coca Cola, why not write one about a husband?"
Under the headline, the billboard reads: "Beautiful, intelligent Australian-Chinese lady seeks to have dream family with a fabulous partner to enjoy a lifetime with."
She asks for a man "ideally in good health (non-smoker or drinker), aged up to 45, unencumbered and of Caucasian appearance".
Other requirements include a "good sense of humour, a solid financial background with warm and caring nature", preferably a businessman or professional.
According to the Telegraph, Ms Zou had been in a long-distance relationship which ended after five years.
The billboard, provided by Australian Posters, is due to stay up for a month.
