She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.
You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.
The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
Hell yeah, hot girls that play music, I love music, I love playing music, I like the songs we play, I like marching, yes I do like band.Originally posted by Inquire
here's a question for u viper. do u like being in band?

You played French Horn? That's a sissy instrument. lol. Well not really, but here in Kentucky, the only french horns I know, are all sissies. lol. They are gay, but I guess you wouldn't be gay, if you are a DJ.Originally posted by mizter6
dude ok first i need to know wheres ur school (by or in what major city) and currently how big ur band is (and ur grade level)
ok im a band nerd myself im a senior now im co section leader and i take charge and make myself the alpha male in my f-horn section. BAND is WHAT ACCELERATED MY GAME!!!!! i started as a freshman with some major AFC problems ( like stuck on one dam'n girl who didnt like me for almost 5 years ) and by the end of my freshman year i started to learn and change and BANG! sophmore band camp started and i instantly got to know more chicks then i did before. U CAN DO IT!! cuz I DID IT and I WAS EXACTLY THE SAME POSITION AS U BAND WAS ABOUT 85%-90% of MY GROWTH!! (my band started at 150 tho now we are at 240 i was able to pimped it at 175. and im in southern calif.
Quit giving us all this BS about you not having time for any of the stuff we tell you to do. In your original post, you yourself admit that when you're not in school or at band, you sit on your ass at home all day. Why don't you use all that wasted time and actually get up and do some of the things we tell you.Originally posted by Viper
This is overall a good post, but I have a few things to say about it. I can't join a sports team because I'm in band, I don't know how other people manage to, but I simply don't have the time for it. That's another thing, alot of people in band do other things, like sports, after school activities, they wouldn't have time to jam and alot of people in band, just wouldn't be interested.
Besides, friends who are girls worthless? So you mean, I can't have something in common with a girl, without wanting to get in her pants? Haha, that's bull****. In my eyes, there's little difference between having a girl friend and a guy friend, except for the fact girls are more intimidating. Nothing bad about being in the 'friend zone' if you don't want to **** her.
Plus, be myself? Well, let's say one thing before you try that one on me, I don't really have much of a personality and don't know myself very well, sure I have hobbies and interest, but I couldn't honestly tell you what kind of person I think of myself as, heck, alot of people tell me I mutiple personalities, one minute I could be one person, the next I could be a whole nother. I think what I should do before I try this be myself stuff, is actually find who MYSELF is.
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
Well, I do have guy friends, but while they cheer me on and say "What's up" to me, I can tell they don't think of me as one of the guys. Well, school's back again tommorow guys and I'm going to try some of this stuff out. My goal is going to be to atleast approach 20 chicks, no numbers because I don't really expect the convos to great, nor for them to really become interested in me, but I'm going to approach them. There are a couple of girls in band(Which is first period everyday) I have in mind already, this girl named jaquie, really hot blonde girl, this girl named Roxanne, who I've already talked about and this short girl named Jill, she's a senior, average looks and body. I really hate doing this, but yes, I'm going to do it, I know the conversations will suck and I'll look like a real geek, but I'm going to take it like a man. I expect most of them to go like this:Originally posted by Void
Girls who are friends, are girls you don't want to bang. You can talk and have fun but personally I like guy friends more.
I have nothing else to say here for now. Take my advice and do it.
Free choice is the power...you have shackles on yourself and you have the key..
As you can see, I'm very bad at building rapport, building connections with people.[I approach a random, out of the blue, HB 7 in the hallways between classes]
Me: Hey, how's it going?
Girl: Good.
Me: So, I don't believe we've met yet, what's your name?
Girl: [Says her name]
Me: Cool. I'm Mike.
I might get rejected alot tommorow, I might look like a dumbass tommorow infront of an HB 9, but I don't care, because if anything, it will be a good learning experience.Me: Hey, you got a name?
Samantha: Uh.. yeah, I have a name, it's Sammy. You got a name?
Me: Yeah, I'm Mike.
Samantha: Well... uh, Mike, I have to get to english right now.
then say, "it was nice talkin to u, give me ur number and ill call u sometime."[I approach a random, out of the blue, HB 7 in the hallways between classes]

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Yeah, I'll come back to tommorow and tell you how I approached a girl, got her name, then said "Well, see ya later", because I couldn't think of anything else to talk about after I got her name. Oh yeah and this school is also full of chicks who will act nice to you when you approach them and then talk **** about how "Hah, did that loser really think he could get me?" with their friends, but I won't let that bring me down.Originally posted by oakraiderz2
Come back tomorrow and tell us why you didnt do anything because blah blah. Chill with your guy friends then leave them and approach a girl. Then they just might see you as one of the guys. Oppurtunies are all around you, open your eyes, relax and youll see them.
**** a b!tch, they only say tat cause u show no exterior confidence. get tat confidence into ur walk, ur eyes and ur way of speakin' and damn u will be great.Originally posted by Viper

Definitely trying this out.Originally posted by Soniq_red
Good Start.
Instead of saying "Yeah, I'm Mike" I would say "Maybe... are you gonna stalk me?" and just play on how she's a creeper and tell her she has to got to class dont let them slip away, tell them away
Hah, now there's a proper way to introduce yourself? I just want to introduce myself, how I say it shouldn't matter. Also, I don't hear "I don't believe we've met yet" alot. Maybe it's different over there in Ohio, but you might wanna consider reading up on "teenage language". Saying things so proper makes you seem like an old man
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I know a couple of soccer players that have to sometime miss games because of practice, football players that are in band and football that have to come out during half time show and play in their uniform, don't know about the rest of them.Originally posted by arutha
Umm... The others manage sports and stuff as well as the band so they can't do band on weekend with you, but you somehow can't fit extra stuff in?![]()
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
