Wii or XBOX 360?

Hi,
I´m thinking of getting me a new video game console for Christmas. My problem is I don´t know which one.
What do you prefer, Wii or XBOX360 and why?

if i was single, getting a girlfriend would be easier than getting my hands on a wii. but good luck on getting the wii. i have woke up everyday and gone to the stores early and have asked for the wii and i am always told we don't have any.

i already own a 360 and it's got a killer amount of great games.

If you can find some way to get a Wii, like Insanity said, get it. The 360 is a great second choice, though.

yeah, On the one hand Wii looks pretty revolutionary and it´s "cheap", but I´m not a real fan of kiddie games and the graphics aren´t really that great. On the other hand I think XBOX 360 is exactly the same as the old xbox, just better graphics and that´s all.

I'm contemplating this myself. I don't think the wii is all kiddie games, just look at red steal.

Except I'm a huge fan of the halo series and I want to get Halo 3 when it comes out. Plus I already have an above live account set up but hasn't gotten much use since i've somewhat gotten sick of halo2.

What games on the wii are coming out recently that are the games to get, because the 360 already has gears of war and I hear that game is awesome.

Zelda. Excitetruck isn't great but it's fun. I'm personally waiting until Mario Kart and SSB come out.

There aren´t many out yet for the Wii. Red Steel is a fps, but it has bad ratings...

er.....correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't RE5 a PS3 announced game? Besides, you just know it'll look so much better on the PS3, or 360 for that matter. Considering the nature of the series I doubt they would even do much with the Wii controls anyway.

Well the new Metroid is coming out soon, and that's an FPS that has gotten raving previews. Super Smash Bros. and the newest Mario are on their way early next year, too.

Wii Sports itself is incredibly fun. I got my Wii a week after launch with Zelda, and I have barely been able to tear myself away. But I'm a huge Zelda fan anyhow, so that could have something to do with it.

Man, when I play a video game I just want to sit in my big cushy chair and vegitate. With the Wii you have to fvcking jump around and wave your hands at the screen like some fvcking freak.

Xbox360 all the way for me.

Actually Wii is much more relaxing when you're playing something like Zelda since you can hold your hands apart.

You don't have to stand up either, they just advertise it like that. As long as you are positioned in front of the sensor on the Wii, you're good to go.

Of course, its supposed to be more fun when you can get into it and stand up. Also, if you're playing Wii Sports, obviously you need to stand...
