One thing for sure, there's some kind of crisis going on with her that makes her react so extremely. At the very least download a period tracker app on your phone and start tracking that PMS so you know when it's her hormones.

Everything a woman does is just for attention.
Women will do so many stupid things just for attention. I don't think she's cheating or planning any exit.
Women love attention and any moment when you're more interested in anything else besides them throws them into whirlwind mode.
They will do anything to get your attention back ranging from seduction to sh!t tests to dread game.
Maintain your frame and don't become needy. Remember that you are the leader in your relationship and she will follow you anywhere you go.

This really sound like a classic push pull episode from a borderline. This forum used to talk about borderline now a day nothing.
more like lack of info and if what he said is true about this being the only issue, could be just a way to gather his atencion who backfired, maybe she didnt expected he jsut buy teh damn ticket and hoped he did something to make her stay, not first time I see this kind of thing and pretty sure its not the last
